Kualoa Ranch | Hawaii Photographer

I was so excited to be able to photograph this amazing family from Alaska. Talk about a climate change, huh? They absolutely loved their time in Hawaii, and they wanted to get some photographs to document their once in a lifetime vacation. They were hoping to get both the mountains and the ocean in their photo session, and I knew just the spot: Kualoa Ranch. Kualoa Ranch hosts the lush Ko’olau Mountains and served as the backdrop for this family session.

This family was so much fun! Their kids had an absolute blast during the shoot running wild and free in the clearing and on the beach. The family really got into the island vibes with their attire. The boys wore linen pants and their sweet boy wore his vacation fedora. Poor thing had a cast on his arm, but he did not let that slow him down. The girls all wore sundresses and donned gorgeous flower crowns. They felt like little princesses, especially when Dad picked them up and spun them around.

They had so much fun when we got to the beach as well. They loved walking along the water’s edge hand in hand. The kids kept wanting to get closer and closer to the water to see how far it would lap up on their legs. I can still hear the sound of their giggling as they dared to get closer and closer. Mom and Dad got some photos of just the two of them as well. I think they enjoyed getting to be photographed as just husband and wife again while in paradise.

If I could sum this family photography session up in one word, it would be happiness. This family exuded joy from the first camera flash to the last snap. After all, they say that the greatest happiness is family happiness.
