This couple, hailing from the east coast, came to stay at the beautiful Kahala Hotel and Resort to celebrate their wedding. They wanted to keep their wedding simple, so they decided on a Hawaiian destination wedding. With the simplicity, came an elegance and beauty that was effortless with these two. Their love for one another shone through the stormy day.
There is the old saying that rain on your wedding day is not something to lament but a sign of your marriage’s good fortune. As we all know, a tied knot that is wet is harder to undo, thus making the bond of your marriage stronger. This couple embraced this folklore as they began their lifetime of memories together as they said their ‘I Do’s.
With just the two of them celebrating on the beach, they were able to fully take in the day with the one they wanted to share it with the most, each other. The groom enjoyed wearing the traditional Hawaiian wedding Ti Leaf Lei along with his Hawaiian wedding band, while the bride looked gorgeous in her jeweled wedding gown. The two embraced the natural beauty of the landscape around them and could not wait to get started taking their wedding portraits after their intimate ceremony.
The couple enjoyed walking along the shoreline hand in hand while I snapped photos of them. They even took some tender moments with one another to stop and dance with the only music being the crashing waves. They loved using the palm trees as details for their photos. I love the one of the groom leaning on the palm tree looking down at his new bride; it shows how playful of a couple they are. I was able to snag some photographs of just the bride for some classic bridal portraits, and I could not be happier with how they turned out. I hope these photographs bring you years of joy as you look back on them. Congratulations!
