Being a photographer in Hawaii is so much fun. I get to capture families and couples who are relaxed in their natural elements. Let’s be honest, it’s hard to have a bad day in Hawaii with the mesmerizing beaches, warm ocean breezes, and lush green rainforests all around. I enjoy capturing the beauty of it all, but I love capturing families enjoying themselves even more. For this fun, unique session, we headed out to the rainforest for some adventure-filled family portraits.
This sweet family is actually from Hawaii, so they brought out their rainboots and showed off their beautiful free spirits. They have three gorgeous girls who love splashing in the mud and puddles. They must love hiking because these three were so fast as they romped around the trails—my camera clicked a hundred miles an hour to capture all the fun. I love how their vibrant outfits, yellow boots, and smiling faces popped against the deep greenery and rugged, earthy colors of the backdrop.
As the girls played along the rocky banks of a flowing stream, Mom and Dad had a chance to spend a little time with each other. They still look so in love, and I enjoyed capturing those sweet embraces for them. I think these photos will serve as extra-special memoirs for their family a few years from now. They really show what they looked like as a family unit during this stage in their lives, and that’s certainly something they’ll never want to forget.
