Photographers in Oahu Hawaii | Laid Back Family Session

I absolutely loved photographing this family from Portland. Mom happens to also be a photographer, and I absolutely love when this happens. It is so fun to be able to collaborate with a client. It ensures that the pictures are exactly what they want, and sometimes, I also get to pick up a little something on the way.

They wanted to document this season of their life and all the joys that come with it. They have two small boys that have a ton of energy, so they wanted their session to be have a laid back feel, so their kids could just enjoy the sand and water and not worry about getting wet or messy. This makes for the absolute best sessions! Kids can just have fun and play and be carefree. I was definitely on board.

I could not have been more pleased with how these photos turned out for this family! True to desire, the session was laidback. Mom and Dad joined in on the fun and played in the water with their boys, and I sat back and captured amazing moments of the family playing together. I think these photographs really show how close of a family they are. They were so easy going and fun loving. It gave me a little glimpse into what their everyday life must look like, and I believe these pictures did that as well.

I was also able to get some pictures of just Mom and Dad together as well. I love the picture of them holding hands with their tattoos on display. Their tattoos read, “In Omnia Paratus,” which in Latin means, “prepared for all things.” Seeing the way they love each other and their children so well, I know that this sentiment is true for their marriage and their family.
