I’m not sure if there is anything quite like becoming parents for the very first time. Life changing, yet so hard to imagine what life was ever like without this little person. Then there’s a year filled with so much learning and so many firsts – first milestones, figuring out how to care for baby, and, of course, the sleep deprivation. Okay, let’s just glaze over that little detail. Who needs sleep anyway right? One is definitely worth celebrating; a huge milestone for both baby and parents alike.
So I was more than thrilled when this sweet family contacted me to capture photos of their charming son just a few days shy of his first birthday. They wanted to document the essence of their little one at this tender age so they could always remember what his world was like at this moment in time. We met up on a beautiful sunny morning at a park that holds a special place in the hearts of mom and dad. We followed his lead, and off we went, walking, dancing, playing and cuddling. What’s not to love about this age? The curiosity. The laughter. The joy. Happiest of first birthdays big boy! This is only the beginning of a beautiful adventure.
