Many of us have heard the old phrase, “absence makes the heart grow fonder,” and nothing could be truer for this couple. After many years of long distance, their bond has only been strengthened. As they get ever closer to getting married and becoming one, their marriage will have a solid foundation in which to build a life together. After their June wedding of this year in Oahu, they will finally be together at last.
Sensational Sunrise Session
These two are such a sweet couple! I got to photograph them for a sunrise engagement session at Kualoa Beach on the windward side of Oahu. They had so much fun being together and taking photographs to capture their engagement season. While they had some ideas on what type of photographs they wanted for their save- the-dates and to be able to use as wedding decorations, they also wanted to just be able to relax and let their love for one another shine through in the photographs.
And that’s exactly what happened. They decided to practice their wedding dance during the session. As they sang the song to one another, they danced barefoot in the sand, twirling around, and even dipping at the end. I like my photographs to capture feelings, not just places or people. I believe I was able to capture their joyous anticipation for their upcoming wedding. I could tell just how excited they were for their wedding day to be here.
Perfect Paradise
I know these photographs will always hold a special place in their hearts as they will bring back all the memories of their time spent in paradise. But even more so, it will commemorate their waiting to be together coming closer and closer to an end. May you never be parted again and always find home to be in each other’s arms.
