This was such a sweet couple, and they are from right here in Oahu. They wanted a simple elopement wedding in a secluded location, so we walked through a forest and ended up at this stunning and remote spot surrounded by the beautiful ocean and lush mountains. They were accompanied by the bride’s parents and the groom’s parents, who wanted to be there for the special day. The dynamic between the newlyweds and their parents was so sweet to see. They were so supportive of the couple’s love and their desire to focus on the most important thing at the wedding: each other.

It’s Like Rain on Your Wedding Day…

They say that rain on your wedding day isn’t bad luck but actually a sign of good luck. As a bride and groom tie the knot, their bond and intertwining will be made even stronger, just as a wet knot is harder to unravel than usual. Throughout the trek to the location and the entirety of the ceremony, we were poured upon with torrential rains. However, as soon as the couple said their ‘I do’s, the clouds parted ways, and the sun shone through on the happy couple. It was uncanny! The weather did not dampen the couple’s spirits one bit. Love laughter, and glow shines through in all of the pictures because their love is so strong.

Just as the bride and groom wandered hand in hand throughout the forest to find the perfect ceremony location through the pouring rain, I believe this couple will tackle all the highs and lows of life in the same way: together.. Between the good omen of rain, the support of their family, and their love for each other, I know this couple’s marriage will be a strong union of beautiful souls. I hope these pictures bring you years of happiness as you look back on your wonderful wedding day. Congratulations!
